November Recap & Being Out of My Element.

Last week I dreamed that I was a stand up comedian getting ready for a show. I was sitting in a room beside 3 other comedians and the director motioned for us to follow him. So, I was walking in line, I guess backstage, and talking to my husband on the phone. The director then motioned that it was my turn so I put down my phone and walked onto a stage in front of hundreds of people. I looked up, introduced myself, then realized hadn't prepared anything for my skit. My stomach dropped and then I recognized that I was dreaming so I made myself wake up as to avoid facing what was going to happen next...
That feeling of ''uh oh'' that I felt standing on the sage in my dream is a lingering feeling I've had for about a week and a half now.

I feel like I'm behind on a deadline or forgot something.. or someone.. or forgot to pay a bill.. or didn't do something I said I would. You know... that ''uh oh'' feeling like you messed something up.

I assume it's because I haven't worked in almost 2 weeks now
I'm accustom to meeting deadlines (or making an attempt to), being on a schedule, talking to people, and I seriously CRAVE the hardware isle at Hobby Lobby about once a week. It's like a guilty pleasure- when I get the urge to by things, I buy drawer pulls. Then, I go to Home Depot and buy paint. It's my fave.

However, lately I haven't been doing any of those things...
I haven't painted
I haven't been active on my blog
I haven't had much email correspondence except with clients on my schedule for the beginning of the year
I haven't been to Home Depot
I haven't been to Hobby Lobby
I think that lingering feeling I've had is because I've just been out of my element. Even though I don't have deadlines to meet, my brain is still programed to meet deadlines and such.

Tomorrow, however, I'll be back to work. Over the next two weeks I'll be finishing up the last of my custom orders for the year and getting my booth at University Pickers painted =) One step closer to moving in! I can't wait to start putting my stuff in to see how it's going to fill up =)

Before I took my 2 weeks off, this is what finished in November...
